Punch Upon a Time Interactive Tools
Plan your squad and randomise your next practice session.
The Punch Upon a Time wiki ships two interactive tools to help you plan your next Squad Saga match. Both tools run entirely in your browser — no account required, no data sent to any server. Bookmark them and use them before your next ranked lobby.
Squad Builder
The Squad Builder lets you pick three characters from the launch roster and instantly see role coverage, damage type, and Pocket Item recommendations. The tool highlights strong compositions and warns about role overlap (for example, picking three tanks leaves your squad with no damage output).
Mode Randomizer
The Mode Randomizer picks a random Squad Saga mode from the full 40+ launch pool. Use it for Practice mode sessions when you want to test your squad against every mode in the rotation without manually queuing each one. The randomizer also weights by mode difficulty so you can run a beginner-friendly practice session or a hard-mode gauntlet.
How the tools are built
Both tools are static, framework-free HTML + JavaScript pages that load instantly on mobile and desktop. They do not require an internet connection once the page is cached, and they do not collect any personal data. The wiki team builds the tools based on community feedback; if you have a tool idea, leave a comment on the Latest Patch page.
Tools in the queue
The wiki team has two more tools in active development that are slated for the next content drop. The first is a Squad Sage Tier List Builder, which lets you drag-and-drop the launch roster into your own custom tier list and export it as a PNG to share on social media. The tier list uses the same character data that powers the public Tier List page, but it lets you weight by Pocket Item pick rate, damage type, or squad role instead of the wiki’s default score.
The second is a Mode Difficulty Picker, which sits alongside the Mode Randomizer and lets you filter the 40+ launch pool by difficulty band (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). The picker is designed for new pilots who want to practise one mode at a time rather than randomising across the full pool.
Privacy and offline use
Both tools run as static HTML + JavaScript pages that are served from the wiki’s Cloudflare Pages cache. Once a tool page loads, it never reaches out to the network again, so it works offline for the duration of your session. The wiki team does not embed analytics, ad networks, or any third-party scripts in the tool pages. Your selections stay on your device unless you explicitly copy a share link.
Tool roadmap requests
The most-requested community tools, in order of votes:
- Bracket Builder for custom-lobby tournaments (12+ teams, single elimination).
- Pocket Item Cooldown Tracker for ranked ladder matches.
- Match History Viewer that parses local saves and exports stats.
Leave a comment on the Latest Patch page to vote for a tool or to suggest a new one. The wiki team reviews every suggestion before each season’s content drop.
