Punch Upon a Time Patch Notes

Every public playtest change, mode addition, and balance adjustment in one place.

Last updated:

The Punch Upon a Time patch notes hub tracks every public playtest change, mode addition, character adjustment, and event rotation. The wiki updates within 24 hours of every Steam demo push and every seasonal patch. For the most recent changes, see Latest Patch; for the studio’s roadmap, see Roadmap.

How the wiki tracks patches

Supersaurus ships a public demo periodically (Steam Next Fest, public playtests, and surprise updates). The wiki team logs each patch with:

  • Version number — the engine build ID, mirrored from SteamDB.
  • Mode changes — new modes, removed modes, and balance tweaks.
  • Character changes — kit adjustments, damage number changes, and ultimate tweaks.
  • Item changes — cooldowns, effect durations, and tier-list movement.
  • Bug fixes — known issues resolved in the patch.

Every entry links back to the affected Mode, Character, or Item page so you can see the change in context.

Latest patch

The most recent public demo push landed on 20 August 2026 (build ID 24830939 on SteamDB). See the Latest Patch page for the full changelog.

Roadmap and seasonal content

The studio has confirmed three post-launch seasons with new characters, modes, and Pocket Items. The Roadmap page tracks every confirmed addition.

How to report a missing patch

If you spot a patch that the wiki has not yet logged, please leave a comment on the Latest Patch page or contact the wiki team through the Links Hub. The wiki is fan-made and aims to be the most accurate public record of every patch change.

What gets tracked

The hub tracks the full scope of every patch the studio ships:

  • Engine build ID — the canonical version number on SteamDB, including hotfix branches.
  • Mode pools — the active Squad Saga rotation for the patch, plus the Pocket Item Roulette weekend rotation.
  • Character patches — every launch character (Merlin, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, Little Red, Frog Prince, Goldilocks, Jack, Rapunzel, Hansel, Gretel, Robin Hood, and the adorable frog) plus post-launch additions.
  • Pocket Item patches — every item in the 40+ launch pool, plus new additions.
  • Netcode and rollback changes — Raptor engine updates, latency thresholds, and rollback tolerances.
  • Cosmetic and unlock changes — battle pass windows, item shop rotations, and seasonal unlocks.

Archived patches

Every prior public playtest patch is kept in the wiki archive with the same level of detail as the latest patch. The archive starts with the first Steam Next Fest build in early 2025 and runs through every patch the studio has released into the public demo since. The full archive is searchable by build ID or by character/mode/item name from the search bar at the top of the page.

Cross-references and verification

Every entry on the Latest Patch page links to the affected mode, character, or item page so the change is never orphaned. The Roadmap page tracks the studio’s planned additions, which the wiki updates as soon as the studio confirms them. SteamDB is treated as the secondary source of truth for build IDs and player-count data, while Steam News remains the canonical source for any official changelog text that lands first on the studio’s store page.
